The autosalon Automotive Lifstyle Show Semi Final battle is on this weekend 10th – 11th November, 2007, at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre (Jeffs Shed).
With hundreds of tricked up cars, including a smattering of Fords, amazing sound systems, and the radio controlled Drift Cars, there is something for everyone.
There are corporate stands, as well as car clubs, showing some amazingly modified vehicles that are sure to get the “rev-heads” excited.
Turbo charged 6’s are very popular with the competitors, with the odd V8 mixed in. Some cars are sporting enormous turbo chargers that need up to 6000 rpm’s to get into boost range.
Aftermarket products, and vehicle services are also available at the show.
Many Promo Girls are wandering the area handing out show bags, and free competition entry forms.
Dyno of entrants cars is being held throughout the day, providing an awesome background sound of revving engines. This is mixed with the music from the live DJ’s and the booming sound systems installed in most of the cars.
The competitors vying for the show points have spent hours detailing and polishing thier cars to display them at thier best, with one competitor still seen polishing his car at 1 am in the morning before the opening.
There is a computer gaming competition area, with teams fighting each other in cyberspace, and stands with car racing games and accessories. Also available is a couple of awesome custom built racing car driving simulators worth over $20,000 each that can be test driven for free. Feel the bumps and crashes as you drive. Just join the queue!
The event is being held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre ( Jeff’s Shed) on 10th and 11th November, 2007.
Opening Hours are 10am – 10 pm, Saturday, and 10am – 6 pm, Sunday.
